Buying The Box Sets "The Doris Day Show"

Unread post by littlepinetree »

Hello everyone!
Please don't think this is spam, and I don't work for Amazon.
I'm just happy about a good deal.
I already had season 1,2,and 5, and needed 3 and 4.
Now at the amazon price, brand new, you can get each set for $16.49!
I bought the two I didn't have, together, and had free postage.
I see these sets for so much more money on ebay, and was so happy that amazon lowered their price.
I received my sets yesterday! :D

Even the whole box set of all the seasons is going down too. Last time I checked it was like $75 when before it was $115.
It's a wonderful day for Doris Day <3

I find the show so funny! I think the music on the show is really great all the instrumental from her albums.
Season 5, I think is a very good one.

I hope you all know I was talking about "The Doris Day Show" boxed sets.
But I do love the new boxed set of her movies! I've watched only two movies out of five so far from the new movie set. Starlift and April in Paris. I sure look forward to watching the other three!

That's okay. Not a problem. The Globe wont get a hold of the misunderstanding! Lol! We can make this thread be about any DD boxed set. I just thought people would know I was talking about her show, because the subject I post this under was, "The Doris Day Show."
But it's not a biggie. I think it would be fun anyway to talk about all the boxed sets, movies and TV.
I only have the TV boxed sets anyway, but would be nice to know about the movie sets. Oh yes, but the only movie set I have is the new set. The DVD's that have been released already, for some time, it seems cheaper to buy one movie at a time.
I hope your stagecoach will arrive soon with your new set! Lol!

Yes, it arrived yesterday - my only complaint is that I had Tea for Two and April in Paris already.

Maybe, going off topic again!, we should have a sell or exchange your unwanted Doris Day material section somewhere on the forum - what do you think?

I think that is a great idea! I too have a few duplicates from getting the boxed sets.

Has this been done at all, since we last talked about it? I still think it is a wonderful idea.

I just bought the complete seasons 1-5 a few weeks ago. I was in a panic though because one of my dvds kept freezing but my mom happened to have some cleaner and it started working again. I need to double check all my discs and finish watching (alot of goodies) because I believe amazon offers a 30 day free exchange (minus s&h) if you have any problems with your item.

I am really glad I bought it. I am enjoying it so much. My mom is watching some of it with me and she's like, oh I remember that. It's starting to come back. My mom was born in 1960 and I remember her saying before she loved Doris Day growing up. :D I think my mom's favorite episode so far is in season 2 when Doris gets stuck refereering Billy and Toby's ball game and she starts calling all the balls and the balls that hit the batter strikes because she had to get going to get ready for a date to a movie star's movie premiere. She was especially tickled that there was only one ref (Doris) that had to run around all the bases to call the plays. LOL

I don't know what my favorite episode is so far. It was really funny to see Doris auditioning as a dancer in season 3.

For anyone in New Zealand happening to be nosying around here, I have seen some of her DVDs at the Warehouse. Be sure to check out the box set area and in bargain bins for any Doris CDs/DVDs. I luckily scored one of the last few Doris box 3 cd packs, so you have to be fast. Unfortunately, they don't take care of their items at the Warehouse, most stuff is damaged or wrecked quite a lot of the time. But the bargains are a score sometimes!
