Interesting to see this hairstyle - wonder if this was the "first cut" and then was re-defined as seen in the film Young at Heart?

Yes, Peter, I believe you're correct that this newsreel is from 1951. If I'm not mistaken, Doris was also the honorary chairperson for Toys for Tots in 1953 and 1954. Always love the way she interacts with children.
