I think this was slightly later Dorine - around the time of Julie. The DA look started in 1954 - from Young at Heart.

Welcome to the forum, jmjazz,

You could save the image to your desktop - or did you want a print? You could try printing if you have a printer - it's low-resolution for the web but you could try it and see how it looks.

jmjazz is trying to figure out how to post (just click reply on topic and then submit).

I've done a couple of versions, which I'll post tomorrow for download, it's bigger but 150dpi rather than 300 - it should be fine -small is beautiful. :)

The 'new' banner is a version of one.

Puck, sorry I've been hogging the banners - also have been leaving them up longer - I'll do one of yours next.

For a comic change of pace -- I would like to see the picture of DD as MATA HARI - the costume she wore in a brief scene in THE GLASS BOTTOM BOAT to be featured in the Forum Banner - if possible. The one wear she wore the enormous gold headdress !

Thanks Jas - I like the simplicity of it.

Image

I've spent all of the past week working on my new 'classic films' website in order to get some of it online - at least 10 pages - and add to it as I go along - I've included Pillow Talk - I should be done by mid next week - will appreciate feedback.

I tried the GBB image as a banner, TCM, but I wasn't totally sold on it:

I'm thrilled about the new banner, too. In its simplicity it is very expressive.
Doris always knew how the expression in her face and her body posture must be like. But it also looked natural, which makes her a truly good actress.
Great artwork again, Bryan. Lisa

Bryan,
Thanks for the lovely new banner - you really know how to pick them. This one is especially great in its simplicity...good choice! Liked the previous one with the red sweater - I have that movie magazine and always liked that photo.
Keep up the great work you do for all of us...thanks for ALL!

Thanks Dorine and Mary Anne, looking at it, it makes me think perhaps they have been getting too large? Small is beautiful, etc? We'll see how the spirit moves.... :)

The next one will be one of Puck's - but happy to leave this one for awhile - being busy on my 'other' site, although Doris is well represented there too - can't wait to show it to you all and find out what you think.
